How much will everything cost me?

  • There are no hidden costs.
  • Prices quoted below INCLUDES VAT and the costs of the test kit.
  • A minimum deposit of 50% is payable upfront for all tests
  • For a Peace of Mind (POM) test the cost is         R1299.00 per person (i.e., R 2598.00 to test an alleged father and a child)
  • For a LEGAL test the cost is R 1680.00 per person (i.e., R 3360.00 to test an alleged father and a child)

What is the difference between a Peace of Mind (POM) and a Legal test?

The GENEdiagnostics Peace of Mind test is designed for people who would like to know their paternity/maternity status. The home test kit can be used for this purpose. For a Legal test a specified chain of custody is required, which is followed at the selected Clicks Clinics we work with. GENEdiagnostics’s Legal tests are acceptable to South African courts.  Legal tests are required for any court purpose, Department of Home Affairs birth registration and amendment, or any other legal matter.

How does it work?
